Home Recommendation: Diego is a very active, young puppy and needs a family who is ready to play with him all day long! He will need continued training and socialization with animals and people. He would benefit from having a confident dog handler owner who can teach her the ropes and bring him out of his shell as he can be nervous at first greeting. Large dog experience strongly required.

Kids: Yes, above the age of 6.

Dogs: Yes, he loves to play and wrestle with other dogs!

Cats: Yes

Crate Trained: No, but he’s working on it!

House Trained: No, but he’s working on it! He will go outside but still has occasional accidents in the house.

Leash Manners: He is working on improving his leash skills. He has not been on a leash before arriving into foster care so he is getting the hang of it!

Training: Diego will need an owner who will train him as he is very young. He listens well to correction and will make great strides quickly! He has never been in a home before arriving into foster care so he is still getting used to loud noises and distractions. He would benefit from an owner who will help boost his confidence!

Personality: Diego is a submissive, happy pup who gets along with everyone and everything! He greets strangers with a wagging tail and is always eager to please. He loves to play with toys and run in the backyard with his sibling! He is teething so he loves to chew on bones and sticks.

Why did he come to WISE? Diego and his siblings were saved from a farmer in Missouri who did not want them. He threatened he was going to shoot them if they were not taken off of his property. With the help of another rescue, they were safely brought to New Jersey and can’t wait to find their forever homes!
