Peaches: with a family who absolutely adores her

Peaches' first three years were anything but easy. Used for breeding and then discarded, she came to WISE in desperate need of help. Shortly after her rescue, Peaches was rushed to emergency care where the vet team discovered she was facing multiple medical issues, including a collapsed lung, pneumonia, a heart murmur, and a hernia that would require surgery once she was healthy enough.

Peaches’ first three years were anything but easy. Used for breeding and then discarded, she came to WISE in desperate need of help.

Shortly after her rescue, Peaches was rushed to emergency care where the vet team discovered she was facing multiple medical issues, including a collapsed lung, pneumonia, a heart murmur, and a hernia that would require surgery once she was healthy enough.

It was a long road to recovery, but this resilient little Min Pin never stopped fighting—and neither did her care team.

Outcome:

Today, Peaches is exactly where she belongs—with a family who absolutely adores her.

Her parents came up with the name Peaches because of her favorite spot in the backyard: underneath their beautiful peach tree, where she loves to relax and soak up the sunshine.

These days, Peaches’ calendar is filled with adventures instead of vet visits. Whether she’s enjoying a spa day, splashing in the pool in her adorable little life vest, soaking up the sun at the beach, cruising in her very own car seat, or dining al fresco with her family, she’s making the most of every moment. She’s even become quite the foodie, with a surprising love for fresh fruits and veggies.

At home, Peaches has found her best friend in her grandparents’ Doberman, and the two are inseparable. And as if life couldn’t get any sweeter for her, she’s getting ready for her biggest adventure yet—becoming a big sister to a human baby.

Prognosis: 13/10: Cleared for the Good Life. Peaches is thriving. She only uses her inhaler when needed and will have a follow-up lung radiograph in a couple of months to make sure everything continues to heal beautifully.
