Name: Lily
Breed: Pitbull Terrier mix
Weight: 60lbs
Age: 4 years old

Home Recommendation: Due to her hard life before coming to us, Lily has a hard time trusting strangers. However once you gain her trust, she will never leave your side! She does best in a quiet home with structure and attention!

Kids:   Above the age of 16.

Dogs: Lily is uninterested at first but then gets playful and shows her spunky side! She prefers dogs who are medium-large in size.

Cats: No

Crate Trained: Lily prefers not to be crated when left alone. She is non destructive and typically sleeps on the couch for the duration of when you are gone.

House Trained: Yes!

Leash Manners: Lily pulls at the beginning of the walk but eventually settles down and walks nicely.

Training: She will need a patient, dog experienced owner who knows when Lily gets nervous around others. She is hesitant with strangers but with time, playing, and treats, she begins to trust them and will let them pet her. She does not get upset when people come to the home and minds her business.  She is very trainable and just needs to make sure she has proper, slow introductions with new people. Lily is very intelligent and has mastered the following commands: sit, down, stop/no, wait, heal and paw!

Personality: Lily will be your best friend for life! She is a dog you can do everything with- go for walks, hikes, swimming, and of course cuddling!  She loves to play fetch and be outdoors! After she tires out, she will plop herself in your lap and snuggle for hours. She will happily roll over on her back for belly rubs!  She is a fun-loving girl and so sweet. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to give you all the love in the world and more, apply to adopt Lily today!

Why did they come to Wise? Lily was rescued from a local, municipal shelter where she came in in very, very bad shape. Lily was part of a neglect case and they soon realized she was pregnant and reached out to us. Her puppies were adopted and Lily has patiently been waiting for her perfect forever home!
